Frequently Asked Questions

    • Building permit application

    • Unified Building Design Documentation (ÉTDR)
A design package prepared by the responsible architect, including:

      • site plans,

      • floor plans,

      • sections,

      • elevations,

      • technical descriptions,

      • energy calculations, etc.

By default, the structural engineering discipline provides written documentation.
If required by the client, detailed structural plans and calculations can be requested as part of a separate contract clause.
Normally, the structural solutions appear within the architectural documentation.
An exception is the simplified notification procedure, which requires structural execution plans.

    • Property title deed (no older than 30 days)
Proof of ownership (can be obtained from the TakarNet system).

    • Site plan and map extract
Certified and up-to-date map excerpt from the land registry office.

    • Declarations from designers
Statements verifying the authorization of the specialist designers.

    • Client’s declaration
Confirmation that the property is owned or used by the applicant.

    • Neighbors’ consent (if required)
For example, in cases where the project is close to adjacent buildings.

    • Utility statements
From water, sewage, electricity, gas, telecommunications, fire protection service providers, etc.

    • Environmental, fire safety, heritage protection authority statements (if applicable)

    • Energy calculation (mandatory for new buildings)
Confirms the building’s energy classification and compliance with regulations.

A structural engineering expert opinion is needed when an existing building is being renovated, extended, walls are being removed, or new loads are introduced. It is also often essential for official procedures, permits, or identifying construction defects.

A technical inspector represents the interests of the investor and independently monitors the construction work. In contrast, the site supervisor works on behalf of the contractor and provides operational management on-site. These two roles should not be confused.

For a quote request, it is sufficient to send the plans or sketches, and if available, the existing building’s floor plan, photos, or preliminary permitting documents. If you don’t have any of these on hand, that’s not a problem – we’ll help you clarify the details.

This depends on the complexity of the project, but typically we can complete it within 1–3 weeks. In urgent cases, we handle deadlines flexibly based on prior agreement.
